Terroir
I terreni che dalla collina discendono sino al mare sono un susseguirsi di pianure di origine alluvionale ricche di calcare e dalla tessitura fine, di vallate argillose e calcaree, bianche e dalla tessitura finissima, e di terrazzi marini, di datazione millenaria, dal tipico colore rosso-bruno (dovuto alla presenza di ossidi di ferro), dalla consistenza sabbiosa e dalla tessitura grossolana.
GRAPE VARIETIES
Our Inzolia vines are grown on chalky soils, which constantly retain moisture and store the heat absorbed during the day and then release it to the vines during the cooler, night-time hours.
These soils are particularly suitable for the production of white and sparkling wines.
OLIVE GROVES
The olive groves from which our oil comes are located in Menfi and Campobello di Mazara, along the south-west coast of Sicily. In this sun-kissed strip of land, from the hillside to the sea, an extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality is produced.
An extraordinary territory, which evokes unique charms and which is the keeper of precious faunal rarities, already known for its wine vocation and which is becoming one of the best olive growing areas in the world.
Local varieties such as Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla and Cerasuola are cultivated here.
The favourable climate and the special conformation of the territory, as well as the use of sustainable cultivation systems, therefore without the use of pesticides and preservatives,
make this olive oil a product with excellent organoleptic and nutraceutical qualities.
